Half the shipment arrived on the 4th. The other half has not yet arrived, and it is the 9th. It turns out my shipment has not just low priority, because it is residential, but "NO" priority because it is residential. They keep giving me different answers. In the meantime, my bathroom is torn up and my contractor has moved on to other jobs. Absolutely horrible experience with order placement, receiving damaged and opened goods and a complete run-around when trying to return.
I would caution anyone that is considering placing an order with this supplier. Their shipping times are completely false and inaccurate.
There is no way you can shop with any degree of confidence with this supplier. They get a big "ZERO" in just about every category from product quality, website description, order placement, and most of all Do not shop here.
All Kohler products. Than I wait again. And they are pushing me off to the first person I spoke with who was on break but will get back to me. I was shipped a cracked sink. I sent them a picture, they credited me and told me to destroy or donate the sink which I did.
Can't get much better than that. Do not shop with Build. If you get sent the wrong product, getting the replacement is an ordeal. Then they tell you they will give you a refund and send out the correct product, but they do not give you the refund even though on your account in black an white it shows that you will get the refund. Avoid shopping with this very scam-y company.
We had a simple project - microwave replacement. On their website, the model we selected showed in stock. As we were seeing no stock and long lead times at all other stores, we called and personally inquired whether they did indeed have the model in stock.
They assured us it was there in all their warehouses. We ordered the microwave and associated trim kit. The next day we received an email that the item was out of stock and would not be shipping for 3 months. I called and canceled the order immediately. They sent the trim kit any way. I set up a return for the trim kit via a phone call and received an email saying that it will take up to 5 days to send a return shipping label.
Every other online retailer sends one immediately. It has been 6 days and I am still waiting for a label. I went on their chat waited 30 minutes for an agent and was told it will be another 72 hours before the send the label. The take your money and then sit on it as long as possible.
Horrible, horrible racket. I would avoid at all costs in case you need changes to your order. Do not buy from them unless you are interested in giving away free money to a con artist. They take your order and your money with no intention of delivering the actual products to you. Buyer beware! They are indeed a legitimate company. Making statements about bad customer service is one thing, but saying they are not legitimate is a false statement.
When delivered items came from Ferguson and most shipped local since Ferguson is in my area. If you want to gamble with Build. If you don't like the idea of losing your money and getting nothing in return, then buy elsewhere. I am not the only reviewer who has had this terrible experience with them. My mistake was not reading the many many bad reviews about Build. I won't make the mistake twice, and only posted the review to warn others of their shady business practice.
They don't alert you about deliveries in enough time to arrange for them. Actually, they alert you on the day it's being delivered. I live two hours away from the house I'm renovating and I need a reasonable amount of tme to make arrangements to receive deliveries. Also, they only do curbside delivery. That means no matter how far away your mailbox is from your front door you have to find a way to drag that refrigerator to the front door and beyond.
I ended up cancelling most of the order and buying from a well-known company that will bring that refrigerator anywhere I want them to.
There is nothing to be gained, in my opinion, from ordering from them,. Most freight companies load up and call either that morning or the day before. Sometimes you can opt for full delivery at an additional cost, but unless it clearly states white glove service the freight company is not going to do more than curbside. My sister just went through this with her stove and fridge. She paid extra to have it delivered and installed from Appliance Connection.
Buy from you local appliance store, many will price match and offer full white glove delivery. I also want to add I have purchased from build. Buyer beware. After thee weeks of emails and countless hours of phone calls.
Grohe is no better. Retailers typically don't honor manufacturer warranties, manufacturers do. Life time on all internal parts to original buyer. Grohe told use to contact Build because they don't have parts.
Build keeps jerking us around and this is after three weeks of emails and over 6 hours on the phone. I need to get better at the latter. The manufacturer tells us to pound Sand the seller of the product tells us to go pound sand, it's very expensive item. Buyer be wear, this is not the kind of customer service that we expected. I just realized you are having issues with Grohe.

Build immediately shipped a 2nd, expedited delivery, extra packing - NOT expedited - it took 4 days to get here, and it was dropped in our driveway, NO signature again, not approved to do so by us , and NO packing on it at all - plastic wrapped to a piece of plywood.
We are awaiting our 3rd pan. Had I read the other reviews prior to ordering I'd have probably paid more to get it thru someone else. Don't bother - it's SO not worth the hassle - pay the extra to have a better experience. I bought a lock dead latch from Build. I never have to pay for return shipping when buy anything from Amazon.
