Silent house what was it about

The only scenes that were in focus were the never-ending cleavage shots of Elizabeth Olsen. I guess the gratuitous shots of her perky assets were intended to distract the audience from what a steaming pile they were watching. Which brings me to the ending. Spoiler spoiler spoiler. As Sarah begins to have visions of a little girl in a tutu presumably being touched by an unseen elder, we know that either a the house is haunted by its previous unsavory inhabitants or b that the girl is actually Sarah and that she has repressed a history of sexual abuse.

It was all a hoax. Would they have been less angry if the house turned out to be full of vengeful ghosties? Maybe the Blair Witch - Paranormal Activity approach has worn out its welcome. OK, obviously i had just finnished watching this movie.

I came to IMDb to look up who the lead actress was. Upon finding the poor reviews on this movie i had to make an account. I have had enough of these movie "critics".

Every time i come on here i see ratings that do not justify the movies. Time and time again all you read is some snob critic complaining about something and the sheep of mindless dummies nod and agree. Im not going to go into full details about this movie but rather give my two cents from a person who's life basically is stories on screens.

Is it different. Was it entertaining 4. Was it predictable 5. How was the story telling. Do not listen to the mindless hordes of know it all, the lead actor was good, the story was not predictable and it was entertaining overall.

I mean seriously IMDb rating is crap. JonDoe00 Jul 20, Details Edit. Release date March 9, United States. United States France. Official site Japan. La casa del miedo. Elle Driver Tazora Films. Box office Edit. Technical specs Edit. Runtime 1 hour 26 minutes. Dolby Digital.

Sarah then sees her uncle's body being dragged by one of the men toward the staircase. She attempts unsuccessfully to shoot one of the men with her uncle's gun. Sarah returns to her room to hide, and begins to exhibit signs of extreme paranoia, multiple personalities, and insanity.

She has hallucinations of reality and alternate realities that depict traumatic childhood events; including a blood stain appearing on her bed, a young girl in the bathtub with beer bottles and bloody water, and a toilet spewing blood. These vivid hallucinations send Sarah into a state of hysteria, and she returns downstairs. In the foyer, she is confronted by Sophia, and finds her now conscious father wrapped in plastic, sitting up in the living room.

Sophia vanishes, and Sarah's father convinces her to untie him, at which point he slaps her and then begins to whip her with his belt. At the same time, her uncle regains consciousness and tries to stop her father, who mocks his brother's pleas. As his back is turned, Sarah kills him with a sledgehammer. Her uncle begs for mercy and tells her he should have stopped the rape and abuse that went on at the hands of her father.

Sarah leaves him and walks outside silently and the film fades to black. In the end, the father turns out to be a rapist. Horror Film Wiki Explore. Gore and disturbing films Psychological films Killer films Monster films Paranormal films.
